New York City, New York - 7 years on elementary and junior high levels in Manhattan (EMR); In addition to state certification, NYC required a separate license to teach in the City. 

Stamford, Connecticut - 2 years in seventh and eighth grades (LD);

Seaside, California - 1/2 year - seventh grade (LD);

Paulsboro, New Jersey - Billingsport:  February 2003 - June 2008 (5 1/2 years) K - 1st grades (LD);

                                           Loudenslager - September 2008 - present (MD).

I was born and raised in Manhattan; lived in California for one year; had my family of four children in Rockland Co., N.Y., which is over the New Jersey border into N.Y.; and have lived in S.N.J. for the past thirteen years.
